Why this exists

Converting a photo or shrinking a PDF is work a browser has been able to do on its own for years. Almost every site that offers it still uploads your file first, because that is the easier way to build a website and because it lets them put your file behind an account.

That trade never made sense for the documents people actually convert. They are passport scans, signed contracts, medical letters, bank statements and photographs of children. So this does the work where the file already is, and sends nothing anywhere.

Who made it

One person. It is not a company, there is no team, and nothing here is venture funded. That is why there is no sign-up flow and no upsell.

How it is paid for

The tools are free and will stay free. The site will carry advertising to cover the cost of the domain, which is currently the only cost — the hosting is free because there is no server doing any work. Ads sit around the tool, never over it, and they cannot see your files, because your files never leave your device for anyone to see.

Something not working?

If a file will not convert, or a tool you need is missing, say so. Knowing which file broke is worth more than any feature request, and it is the only way the awkward formats get fixed.

Privacy

Your files are never uploaded

Every conversion happens inside your browser, on your own device. No server receives your file, so there is nothing for anyone to store, sell, lose in a breach, or be compelled to hand over. You can check: open your browser’s Network tab and convert something — there is no upload. The site also keeps working with your connection switched off.

We collect nothing about you

There are no accounts, no sign-up and no contact form. We do not ask for your name or your email address, and there is no database here holding anything about you.

What is stored on your device

Only preferences, such as the output format you last chose. That stays in your browser, is readable only by this site, and is removed if you clear site data.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which processes the technical information every browser sends with a request — an IP address and user agent — to serve pages and block abuse. That applies to page requests only. Your files are never part of a request.

Analytics and advertising

There are currently none, and no cookies are set for either. We intend to add advertising to cover costs. This page will be updated to name the provider before that happens. Advertising can never see your files, because your files never leave your device.

For personal and commercial work alike, with no account and no watermark. Please do not try to disrupt the site or interfere with how it works for other people.

Your files stay yours

They never reach us, so we claim no rights over them and hold no copy of them.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are. Conversion can fail on unusual or damaged files, and converting between formats can lose quality or detail — compressing a PDF, for instance, turns its text into part of an image. Keep your originals, and do not rely on this as the only copy of anything that matters. We are not liable for any loss arising from using the site.
